Is it a Pentium II? No wonder it takes 8-10 hours to reinstall Windows.

not sure what the chip is. I thought it was PentiumIV tho
and like i said, its always pretty fast like when I download MS Client it usually takes about an hour to an hour and a half.
Hopefully things will go faster and smoother when i get home tonight.
I really hope i didnt mess anything up deleting those Reg files that I found of MS. There were A LOT, but MS isnt installed on my comp. right now so thats why i went ahead and deleted them.

I know you have a small HHD but you still need to partition it to 2 parts. Then make a back up after you finish installing windows and all applications. I recomend RollBack RX. Its very easy software to use and it doesnt slow down your PC.

My other HDD is 10G and I keep all my backups on it :D
I will check out that Rollback RX.
I turned off System Restore because it does hog alot of memory.

But I need more help.
I cant delete this from the Add Remove programs. It's an entry called MapleStory and it looks for the .msi Installer Package for MapleStory. Because I've deleted everything Maple from my computer it doesnt find it. I'm redownloading the client now and it will be done in about 45 mins. I know where this .msi file goes (a temp file) when I execute the Client. But that doesnt seem good enough because this "Program" that wont Uninstall wants the .msi file to be in a MapleStory Installable Folder. I need to know this:
Did you re-install your windows?
Did you manually remove the Maple Files ( not using add-remove wizzard)?
Are you trying to remove the entry of Maple Story after manually removed the Folder?

I did a Repair, not Reinstall

I did not remove Maple manually (i went thru add/remove programs) - but i do go remove any folders left over afterwards.

The remove wizzard from Microsoft isnt the best one. Just ignore it for now. Go to Nexon folder and delete it. Dont have to clean the registry or anything, try to install MS in a different fold. Let me know what is the problem.

Install Cleaner Utility got rid of that MapleStory thing in Add/Remove Programs, but I still had a data.cab Error. I started to download the RAR files from the website and did that until 3 in the morning (got 10 of the 20). This morning I found an old iTCG CD. Installed MS from there and it worked but I got to the end of 2/3 on the Patcher (checking copied files) and it hung up I think because stupid Windows Updates started downloading at the same time and it caused ANOTHER conflict. I had to go to work so I Task Managed out of Wizet Patcher and will try again tonight sometime.

Keep downloading the newest client cuz there is great chance that the file from that old iTCG CD doesnt work now since there are many updates and patches. Thats why it hung at 2/3.

This time try to install in 2nd partition, maybe that help. I dont know, but just try that.

SRY to bump this again, but here was my solution to this problem. ~I'm quite lucky, as this is one of the rare Errors (Errror 1335 coupled with Error 2350) with no real fix, yet~

As you can see from my screenies above, I had the dreaded "data.cab" Error (1335/2350). The problem with this Error is that no matter how many times you do a fresh reinstall of MS, the computer always sees the download as corrupt. Some people have had luck using the RAR installation files and I was in the process of downloading them too, when I finally tried this:
I loaded MS from an old iTCG CD. I bought the Cards around v.47 and installed it a few days after v.52. I made sure Firewalls and Virus Protection was off while MS uploaded from the CD and while MS downloaded the v.52 Patch. I also made sure no other programs were running except what was in the "Background".
Also, before I could even get the .msi program (MicroSoft Install Shield file) to extract properly, I had to permanently delete a very strange MapleStory program in the Add/Remove Programs. I say wierd because not only did I "Remove" MS properly through Add/Remove, but I also deleted as many traces of it as I could find elsewhere. I did some digging around on google and found I had to install "Microsoft Install Shield Clean Up" utility program to fix this OTHER MapleStory Error (Error 1714). I ran the Clean Up utility and selected the wierd MapleStory program in Add/Remove and finally got rid of it to where the .msi thing could see that there was NOT an old version of MapleStory on my computer.

This is all thanks to a Registry Cleaner Program
