Simple Summary of the Books:
Storybook: Item needed to start quest to gain SkillBook.
SkillBook: Lvl 1-10 of each job's skill. Drops from bosses or gained from quests. SkillBooks are NOT TRADABLE.
Mastery Book: Lvl 10-20 (aka Lvl20) and Lvl 20-30 (aka Lvl30) of each job. Mastery Books are USELESS if you do not have the Skillbook (if not unlocked). Mastery Books work like a scroll. There is a failure rate, so upgrading your skill book IS NOT guaranteed. Lvl20 Mastery Books have a 70% successrate. Lvl30 Mastery Books have a 50% success rate. Skillbooks don't have slots, so you can keep trying to upgrade until you are successful. Mastery Books are TRADABLE.
1. Anyone can hunt skillbook/storybook/masterybooks
2. You dont need to be lvl 120+ to see them, they are like regular drops
3. Skillbooks are NOT tradable
4. MasteryBooks/Storybooks ARE tradable
Basically your Skillbook is like an equip. while the MasteryBooks are like scrolls.


How to find out early information about a Patch:
The patch preview isnt put up until shortly before or near the patch. the FTP site is ftp://patch.mapleglobal.com/Maple/patch/notice
and the notice would be ftp://patch.mapleglobal.com/Maple/pa...tice/00049.txt except if you click it, it doesnt work, because the preview/notice isnt up yet.
