Sharing some info about Rings and EXP changes

You can supposedly equip a lvl 30 50 and 70 ring from aran, you have to make 3 arans to do so though. Following image was originally posted by Intense on sleepywood.net:

As for EXP and leech formula changes, Kalovale from basilmarket posted the following:

1. The new formula simply means leechers are going to receive HALF AS MUCH EXP as what they've been receiving. They used to get 44% of the total EXP, now they only get 22%. (or less, in both cases)
Guess what? They'll still leech.

2. Killer gets EXP for killing the monster BEFORE they even split the remaining Exp.
Old system: Killer gets 20% EXP before splitting.
New system: Killer gets 60% EXP before splitting.

3. Leech conditions: Only one of the following must be met in order to share a cut of party EXP
a. Deal at least 1 damage to the monster.
b. Be within 5 levels of the monster.
c. Be within 5 levels of a party member that fulfills a or b.

4. Training solo is now faster with a leecher AND HS, BRING YOUR FRIENDS. Remember, you need HS to make it better than Solo Exp.
• If there is a cap as to how much EXP you can gain (I recall there is): It'll be the same as you solo with HS (Bishops who solo can now be nice and leech someone for free while you train. Your exp will only be better or the same, not in any way worse.)
• If the cap somehow gets removed (I heard it did in kMS): You'll be training at 132% EXP on 1x.

5. This formula was implemented in kMS and MSEA when they got Aran, and it's still staying as of now. The formula that was removed was the HIT-OR-NO-EXP-FOR-YOU one, which is obviously retarded.

Hope this helps anyone with questions about these two situations.

And this formula change will probably affect exp sharing at bosses like zak and HT. But I like that the changes introduce a balance between soloing and partying. People will have to get used to the new, slower pace of leveling lol.

i problaly wont exploit the rings. and Dan I not sure it affects ht exp. I ran with 15 people and got more exp then when i ran with 24 people.

As if training wasn't slow enough.

Since we have until June to get the rings, I might wait and see if Nexon will patch it in the meantime. If anything, I'll get another lv30 ring, since I have an extra slot and it would only take a couple of days.

I think Kev means he will get a lvl 70, and then a lvl 30. He said another lvl 30 ring since he would have already gotten one in the past but upgraded it. :)

Yeah, what Taylor said. I bought an extra slot thinking that I would need one for Cygnus Knights, so at least I know I'm not letting it go to waste xP

We got 5 slots automatically for characters right? At least that what mine have. the 3 from initial adventurers, and then they added one from koc, and another from aran. I don't expect to get one for the other black mage fighting classes. I hear speculation they will have rings as well. So might not even be worth making another.

They fixed the multiple Lilin's ring already during the last sc I hear. I haven't been on all week because of finals.

Good thing I didn't rush mine. Still level 28. =P

They should at least put the 3x exp coupons in the cash shop like they did to MSEA when leech got nerfed.

exp from bosses havent changed but exp from regular monsters in pt have. HT and Zak still give same exp
