*WARNING* Password Reset and IP Ban

For those that will log in after today, or already if you're quick, you'll notice that you have to change your password. Be careful to not do this with too many accounts, as if you try to change more than 5 different account's passwords, you'll get IP banned, which prohibits you from logging onto any account when using any computer with the banned IP.

If this warning is too late, you can try resetting your modem to change the IP. However, if you have a static IP, you'll have to log a ticket or get a proxy in order to log into any account.

if you change your password on your accounts, do you get account banned even if its under 5 accounts?

It appears that resetting multiple accounts is okay. The ban happens when you try to log on several ones at the same time. The min number is still not clear.

That's dumb. What if you have like a family? And more than 5 people play in that family?

well we know 4 accounts isnt the min. I Changed all 4 at the same time and didnt get ip banned.

So basically when you change 10 account passwords you will get banned?

Or log onto 10 different accounts in one day. It's an IP Ban though, which stops you from logging onto any other accounts unless you change your IP.

So here's the scoup:

Attempting to login / change pw on 10th account will ip ban you. 9 accounts per day is the limit. I presume, but have not tested, that pw changes & account logins are counted seperatly so if you change pw on one account and log in on a different account the total is now 2.

If / when you get ip banned you can fill out a little fourm and Nexon claims they will respond within 2-7 days. (I saw that snicker.)

Since most ISPs use dynamic IP addresses you can just reset your modum and you will most likely get a new IP address. Then you are good to go. (Like this is gonna slow down the meso sellers. f5 to nexon.)

The count is for accounts you logged in that day. If you loged in the day before and you leave it logged in and don't relog then that account is not counted the next day.

F5 nexon, why didn't you come out with char expansion slots like 3 years ago? B> account consolidation!

They can ban ip ranges as a second step to combat hackers and meso farmers if they want to.

ok, I was ip banned, and I only tried doing my 5 accs?
It took two times of resetting my modem to get back on.

Shiet i have more than 40 accounts... Good thing for me is that i don't care for 37 of them so i don't think i'll even change the password F3
