I have a question for the ultra-high level players (LV 80+). How can you keep pushing forward to level up? I'm only 74, and my training has literly stopped cold. I'm used to leveling once every two days, yet 74 has been a nightmare. Voodoos and the like don't give me the exp I need to level effectivly, and free chanels are hard to find. If I go the route of DTs or MDTs, I get a lot more exp, but have a very high chance of dying, and it's very costly. How did you guys past this point? I've never been in a situation where no enemy or event gives me enough EXP to level, without bankrupting me or risking chain deaths.

Jeff, I felt the exact same way at lvl71. In fact, I was SO afraid to lvl past 50 that i kept switching characters and/or making new ones so that I wouldnt have to deal with it. Then I met some great people here in Aeons who showed me OPQ and I lvld once a day from 54-71.
When I finally had to go out as a CB i was scared. I died A LOT, but had friends to train with here in Aeons. Also I buy Safety Charms whenever I can so that I dont get discouraged by lost EXP (i hate losing EXP).
I also Basil a lot and browse thru FM and that's how I personally make my money.
Im just sharing my experience here since i found this Thread. I know i may not be typical, but Im just sharing.

GL & if you would like to train at Gobies with me just let me know.

Thank you. I know that a lot of other classes face the wall earlier than I do, some as early as 31, but I never figured it would be THIS hard. I have honestly considered going to Hime, just to see if I could (And I know that I can't). I'm just feeling the slowdown pretty good. HOPEFULLY I'll get another 2x soon, and that will help push me past this point, but it's still a daunting task. And I would like to party with someone. It's hard being a party priest who dosn't have a party to... well... priest.

Believe me, anything past level 70 becomes somewhat of a struggle. I had the same problem from 70-80. I had to train at Forest of Golem because I still wanted fast exp (coming from red drakes and retz/hot sand) but I was losing tons of meso just on repots alone. It's the 7x slump.

You have a lot to look forward to being a priest.(they level insanely fast) We have many new 3rd jobbers who wil be more then happy to party you. It get's a hell of a lot better when you get into the 8x period. I was gaining 1 lvl a day at 8x at DT's. Just don't give up.

I'm currently level 112 and I make about 14% per hour WITH 2x exp. This is insane how long it takes me to reach 1 more level up. I keep going because I watch all the cool I/L mages above me and 4th job is even more incentive to level. Blowing up the screen with Blizzard is worth the pain of gaining 8 more levels. Just make a goal and strive to achieve it.

DTs or MTDs are really my only effective way of leveling. That means I'll have to park my loser second character in NLC to give me a constant supply of Mana Bulls. I know that later on, once we master HS, we level really fast in a party, and once we can solo Himes, it goes even faster. Unfortunatly, I'm not yet at that point. If I ever reach lv 120 and get Genesis, I'll be able to easily level on Skelegon and Skelosaurus, the strongest non-boss monsters I could find, both of which are weak to Genesis.

Yeah, I got an awsome future if I get past this point. But it's just depressing to have your entire days training summed up in a negative number.

The best advice i can give you is, don't try to hard.

If you get mad by lvling, you are going to be all day grinding which will lead you to boredom... Believe me... It happened to me too.

I was so mad for getting to 15x before 4th job that i was grinding at himes for a lot of hours... (in weekends i was himing 16 hours a day...)

Yes, the outcome of that is the winning of massive exp, but you lose something way more important... The contact with your friends...

So remember, it's always good to train for a few hours, but it's even better so spend that time with your friends =)

I hope this helps you.

Happy Mapling
