First impressions

So, what is your first impression of the Pirate class as of now?

For me, Gunslinger was a disapointment. The range was completly pitiful, going as far as a Magic Bolt spell, and for a ranged class without a damage mitigation effect, that's bad. The speed of the actual attacks was decent, but unless you buy 10 sets of bullets, you'll run out REALLY fast.

Brawler is much more intresting. With a very nice multi-enemy attack, decent damage and no need for bullets, it just seems perfect. Granted, you're getting really close to the enemy and taking heavy damage, but eventually you end up with a good HP level to counter the damage you take. The whole "Super Saiyan" thing is a pain, as not everyone who plays the class wasn't to be associated with DBZ.

1) Have you personally played the Gun Pirate?
2) How high of a lvl did you get?
3) You jumped to conclusions.

Yes, the damage on Gun Pirate is embarrassingly low, but the attack speed is incredibly fast, not "decent". There are differences when using skills and just normal attacking. When you normal attack the range goes as far as a magic bolt, or less. When you use DS, the bullets go almost as far as a sin/bowman with maxed range.

Yes, being a Gun Pirate sucks. But when you get to Gunslinger, it owns. I am currently only a lvl 32 Gunslinger, but dayum, it's fun.

As for Brawlers, I could care less. xD
Although, if you are going Brawler, max hp up first. If not you, are lose.

i have only played the brawler lol and not the lv 30 either but so far its fun to play with some good dmg but low accuracy.... well mine anyways doing the build 5 above the lv for dex
and the sommersault skills is sweet haha just jumping around kicking stuff
i havent tried the gun pirate yet but ill try it soon and say something about it to..

An uber funded Gunslinger dishes out 3 times 3K at level 90 about 2 times a second, an unfunded poorass noobscrolled brawler does about 2 times 6K at level 80. 1 time a second.

Tany, I said "first impression", meaning an opinion. I wanted this to be a nice topic where we could discuss our time so far and voice an opinion. I have played a Gunslinger, and I admit I didn't spend a terribly long time with it. I would appreciate if you didn't throw hurtful remarks about.

so far i made a lv 21 brawler and am able to dish out 500dmg x 6monsters XD. Brawlers owns.

The one thing I hate is that it seems they really cut corners on the sound and some of the animations. The summersault is just the characters idol sprite flipped around. If you're partied with a Brawler and they use it, their HP bar flips around too. That seems slightly lazy. And the sound is just recycled from other skills. The sound of someone smashing your head in with a kick should not sound like fairy dust.

I'm only 17, but I'm doing close to 150 damage with 'sault. I've gone unfunded, so equips are a pain, but I am enjoying it.

My favorite thing to do with my Gunslinger is to go to a high place and use my "Wings" skill to jump off and start using somersault kick in the air. It looks funny.
