| CONGRATULATIONS MR. OBAMA!!!!
Yea, I wish McCain would have won but... who cares Im like 60% sure that niether McCain would have served the full term or Obama will.
But remember this isnt for sure yet... we still have like 5 more states to vote.
This can change everything.
Its called [Magic] how Electoral College works doesnt it?

| Obama wins. Eat it Republicans. A nation's first. It's like we popped America's cherry for having a black president. : D
As Stephen said, let's hope he isn't assassinated too soon. Either way, I think that McCain or Obama have a chance to be assassinated if elected. Obama because he's black, and McCain because Palin would be his VP. Then again, McCain might just die of old age second day sworn in... Then we'd have a woman president, and I'd have to move back to Mexico so I can not be ashamed.
These are big steps. I had to overcome the racist within me and vote for the greater good of the nation. I can't give up being sexist and racist in one election. I'm not Chuck Norris or anything. >.>
Well, let's just hope this is "Change we can beleive in."
Cheers. Obama '08-'09 xD

Jeff: Sarah Palin isn't running for president so the president would certainly be male.
Jon: The electoral college gives those of us who don't live on the coast a voice in electing our president.
Everyone that thinks that McCain will die of old age or Obama will be assassinated. Your taking the an very unlikely scenario and acting as it is no doubt going to happen. I guess as long as you don't use those excuses when you decide on who to vote for.

| Look at North Carolina, Yahoo shows that they have counted 100% of the vote yet the state has still not been called.
It has a deciding factor of 0.003%
Edit: wow MISSOURI is closer F5 99% counted McCain 1,426,779 Obama 1,426,381
0.0002% differance | |

| LMAO, it seems that here in Australia, people are far more fascinated by the American president elections than the Australian ones. We were talking about it most of the day with updates from the news every now and then. But still-- I couldn't say that I followed it. | |

| Im seriously not happy with this election...
I just saw a poll saying 90% of blacks vote for Barack Obama and out of those 90% about 95% voted him because he was black.
YES he is black, but his half white too, idk why people say his black when he is actually half white too.
And it doesnt matter, even tho if hes black he doesnt know what real black people feel like and what poverty means, thus hes just another politician in my eyes.

Im in canada and no one gave a rat's behind about our election but we all followed the US election. And John, He may have got a bunch of votes cause hes black, but he probably lost just as many because he is black. Look at Texas. All the rednecks voted McCain cause hes white!

| Few things I'd like to point out. Saying that you "hope he won't be assassinated too soon" sounds as though he will definately be assassinated, which I firmly believe he won't. As for McCain...he won't die within the next couple weeks (unless something big happens) but I doubt he would be able to last through the entire 4 year term. The ammount of stress and anxiety and pressure that is put on a President is enormous, and you'd have to be Superman to be able to bare it all without being gravely affected by it. That sort of thing would crush McCain eventually. Obama is young, he's inexperienced, but he was actually born into poverty. His dad left him, and he was raised by a single mom. He managed to do well in school, made validictorian, got scholarships, and went to Harvord and Yale. If anyone, he understands the people of this nation more than McCain ever could. He may not know as much about politicts, but he's a very intelligent man, and I've a strong believe that what he'll do for this nation will be for the best. | |

| I agree. He's a better man for his people... But for the rest of the world, he's probably another american president who'll continue to exploit the third world and shell wars in the fake name of fighting terrorism... Okay, It is still early to judge so we'll stick to the hope that he's a man of his own backgroud and beliefs, not just another puppet of his political party or the zionist lobby O-O | |

| Well of course. How often has there been a black candidate for one of the major parties? Something like this is HUGE, especially for African-American cultures. With Obama as president, the race card could actually get you tagged as a racist, instead of the other way around. Not only is this a victory for the Democratic party, but it's also a victory for minorities nationwide. Who cares if they voted for him because he was black? It's a huge victory and the beginning of many changes, and not the kind that Obama has been promising. | |

SEE? 90% and and 10%... thats a huge difference The %s may show that he lost more, but consider the numbers of whites to blacks. I bet it is 10 to 1. If I am correct then he lost a lot more than the numbers show.
