| My long time buddy CloudNsword, the leader of FFVII guild was doing GPQ this afternoon and he got DCed. When he tried to log back on, he got message saying he got banned til Feb next year. He has played MS since beta, and he has only 1-2 chars due to real life job that he doesnt have time to train. If I have to vouch innocent for anyone, he is one of them. Hes 88 WK, one of nicest person you will ever meet in MS. This sadden me alot cuz I was banned last year for no reason also. I just dont know what to say. |

| That is unusual, and certainly unfair. In think Nexon is going a little far with these auto-ban things. Becides, arn't 6 month bans reserved for multiple time hackers? | |

| thats odd but think i mean the amount of hackers has gone down greatly lately since maybe ban one good guy and 100 other hackers... too bad he was your friend and what not. Maybe you should write a complaint to nexon altough i dont think they would listen... but its worth a try and im sorry that sucks kat | |

| Wow, Cloud got banned? I've known him and Aeris for quite some time, and I know that both of them wouldn't hack or break the rules in any way (except a few funny glitches in the FM every now and then). Unless you can get banned for exploiting a glitch that doesn't do anything but make you float in mid air in the FM, I don't know what else he could have done. | |

| I've heard that their auto ban system will ban based on an ammount of packets sent / received in a given time. When people lag in cpq the packets are delayed and when they recover all the packets are received and acknoledged at once causing a nice ban. Supposedly this works on ac as well so if people set their ac too high they get the same ban. I predict Nexon fixes it in 3 months or so and then never admits that it happened. | |

It wouldn't generate a lot of packets, it would be very hard to get a large enough number to enough to ban them with just smuggling - maybe if they tried smuggling in FM ch 1. Since obviously not all ac'ers get banned (you still see them in fm 1) it has to be a pretty high number of packets. CPQ though has a lot going on - your points update, monsters summon, spells, those party cures, etc... all kinds of packets being sent back and forth from your computer to the server updating all those things. A little lag would make them happen all at once and that would raise your packets per second rather well. Though on a side note one of my friends was perma-banned for saying he could smuggle 50% of the time during the first month of Bello's existence. | |
