Its strange how the third map shows you decending from El Nath to the deep mine but in the game you go up in the maps to get to it

NO, the map is correct. The map show the part of dead mine only. The upper part is Zoombies then you need to drop down to go to Baines part. This map didnt show Elnath area.

There aren't THAT many zombie maps. There are only, like, 3-5. That probably starts after you talke to "Jeff the Dungeon Guide" (at which point you're still moving up.)
